Alcohol fulfilment means storing, picking, packing and shipping drinks on behalf of the brand that owns them. Here is how it runs at Complete Packaging.
1. Goods in. Your stock arrives at our warehouse, is checked against your delivery paperwork and scanned onto our warehouse management system, so every case has a recorded location from day one.
2. Licensed storage. Stock is held in our licensed, secure warehouse until it is needed. You can see exactly what is on the shelf at any time through your online dashboard.
3. Orders sync automatically. Our system integrates with Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, eBay and more. Orders flow in without manual entry, and your stock levels update in real time.
4. Pick and pack. Our team picks each order, checks it and packs it in the protective packaging agreed with you.
5. Dispatch and returns. We dispatch through trusted courier partners, with same-day and next-day options, across the UK and to global markets. If an order comes back, we process the return and update your stock.
Our 3PL fulfilment service covers every one of these steps, and our pick and pack team handles each order by hand.
Our fulfilment centre is licensed to store and distribute alcohol, and every case is held securely in line with UK regulations. If you are a brewery, distillery, wine merchant or online retailer, that means you can hand over your stock knowing it is stored legally and responsibly.
Temperature-regulated zones help protect the quality and flavour of sensitive products such as craft beer, fine wine and premium spirits.
Round-the-clock security includes 24/7 monitoring and restricted access to stock.
Flexible racking handles bottles, cans, cases and kegs, and our pallet racking has capacity for more than 1,200 pallets. A launch, a promotion or a Christmas peak does not turn into a storage problem.
You keep full visibility through real-time inventory tracking, with barcode scanning at goods in and at every pick.
Most alcohol damage in transit comes down to three causes: glass touching glass, a bottle moving inside a carton that is too big, and a carton that crushes under load. Good packaging deals with all three.
Separation. Corrugated cell dividers or die-cut inserts hold each bottle in its own space, so bottles cannot knock against each other.
A snug fit. The carton is sized to the bottle format, whether that is a single bottle, a three-bottle pack or a case of twelve, so there is no empty space for the product to travel in.
Strength to match the load. Heavier formats need stronger board, such as double-wall corrugated, and cartons that are well sealed and well closed.
Security and presentation. Tamper-evident seals, printed outer cartons and branded inserts make the parcel look as good as the drink inside. Read more about tamper-evident packaging.
Our in-house team designs and supplies bespoke packaging for drinks, from custom cardboard boxes and corrugated packaging to fragile packaging. If you need a new format created from scratch, our CAD design service turns a bottle specification into a structural design.
We work with wine and champagne, spirits and liqueurs, craft beer and ale, cider and perry, ready-to-drink cocktails, cocktail kits and mixers, gift sets and hampers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Mixed ranges are managed from a single account, so you do not need separate arrangements for each product type.
Online drinks retailers and direct-to-consumer brands. We pick, pack and dispatch each order with your branded packaging and inserts, so your customers get a consistent unboxing experience. See how our ecommerce fulfilment works.
Breweries, distilleries and wine merchants. We handle storage and distribution, from small-batch craft releases to established spirits ranges, so your team can stay focused on production and sales.
Gift sets and hampers. Our kitting and bundling service assembles gift sets to your specification, with custom inserts, thank-you cards or promotional leaflets included. For the busiest weeks of the year, see our Christmas and seasonal fulfilment services.
Customers increasingly notice what their drinks arrive in. We can supply recyclable and lower-impact packaging options that stay strong enough for glass and heavy loads. Find out more about our approach to sustainability.
